Hi, I’m Dylan

I am a born and raised New Mexican who never really had an inclination toward art as a kid. Growing up I always found math, astronomy, and other topics grounded in more straight-forward thinking much more fascinating than others. It wasn't until I was about 14 that I began thinking more creatively and looking at things more abstractly. It began on a family trip to Florida where I took photos on my phone of the various places we went (Cinderella's castle, the beach, etc.) and posted them to social media platforms. The photos got great responses from family and friends and that initially drove me to continue doing it when I got back home to Albuquerque. I took photos of anything and everything I could find and it eventually led to a deep passion for capturing moments and immortalizing memories.

When I graduated high school I knew photography was something I loved to do and had a knack for but never saw it as a plausible career path. I went into college to pursue various STEM majors but after 2 years I realized that working with my camera and creating is all I truly wanted to do. I left school in 2019 in order to pursue this passion more fully and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I began working much more but every free moment I had was spent outside taking photos of the beautiful New Mexican landscape I call home and over time I was able to turn this hobby into much more than that. At the start of 2021 I moved to Seattle, Washington to shake things up a bit and try something new - I love to chase adventure. For the next year and a half I explored the Pacific Northwest - learning a lot about myself, seeing some incredible parts of the world, and meeting some truly inspiring people. All chapters do eventually come to an end though and in September of 2022 I made my way back to the Land of Enchantment to continue this pursuit through a new lens.
